Getting involved does makes a difference. Our associates prove this every year by rolling up their sleeves to help non-profit organizations in our home office communities. Through our volunteer initiatives, we demonstrate our role as community leaders by:
- Targeting our resources to create the greatest impact;
- Enabling our associates to give back year-round;
- Providing our associates an opportunity to see the work of United Way and its agencies first-hand; and
- Creating a best-practice model.
In 2014, associates donated more than 37,000 hours through both company and United Way sponsored community care days. Volunteer projects ranged from packing meals at the Mid-Ohio Food Bank to painting murals at local day care centers in New York City. We also have more than 100 business leaders who put their expertise to use by serving on non-profit organizational boards of various agencies through our Community Connections program.
