Rio Rancho Community Care Week
September 27, 2011
For the third year in a row, Victoria’s Secret Direct supported the efforts of ARCA (link) during their annual Community Care Week. From Aug. 29 to Sept. 2, more than 80 associates collaborated in building a point-of-sale fruit and vegetable stand on the grounds of the ARCA La Paloma Greenhouse in Corrales, N.M. This fruit stand will allow the members of ARCA to sell the produce grown on the grounds.
ARCA is known for their efforts in assisting children and adults with developmental disabilities. "We couldn't do what we do without our community partnerships,” said Michele Cody, ARCA development director. “Victoria's Secret Direct is a great example of that.” Victoria’s Secret Direct was recently honored with the Rio Rancho 2011 “Business of the Year” award for their local involvement and ongoing commitment to the community.
