Associates in Canada Walk to End Women’s Cancers

Nearly 100 Limited Brands Canada associates participated in the Weekend to End Women’s Cancers in both Montreal and Toronto; a two-day, 60-kilometer walk through area streets and neighborhoods benefiting the BC Cancer Foundation. Combined, the team raised $369,000 for cancer research through a variety of fundraising efforts, including bake sales, raffles, sample sales for friends and family, home office events and of course, a lot of walking!
We are proud of our associates for exceeding our fundraising goal this year,” said Joanne Nemeroff, president of Limited Brands Canada. “As a lingerie company for women, we are very passionate about this cause and understand the importance of supporting women’s cancer research.”
The BC Cancer Foundation supports the critical and ground-breaking research at the BC Cancer Agency, where the research discoveries and cancer-control model have resulted in some of the best three- and five-year survival outcomes for breast and ovarian cancer patients in the world. It’s estimated that one in seven Canadian women will be diagnosed with a gynecologic cancer in her lifetime.
This year marks the sixth year that Limited Brands Canada has participated in this inspiring event.
